A clog cut from natural hair-on cowhide, handcrafted in Inner Mongolia and sold one pattern at a time.
Product Description
The upper is cowhide with the hair left on, so the grain, the sheen and the lie of the coat all stay visible. The markings belong to the hide itself. That is why the pattern falls differently on every pair, and why the clogs that arrive carry a character of their own alongside the photograph.
The shape is the one that earns its place every winter: a rounded toe, a broad footbed, and a shoe you step into rather than fasten. It moves between the house and the walk to the car without asking anything of you.
Made for the cold months, for weekends, and for the days when a shoe has to be quick.
Craftsmanship & Materials
Upper Natural hair-on cowhide. Each hide carries its own markings; no two pairs are alike.
Construction Handcrafted in Inner Mongolia, in small batches, by artisans who have worked with hide for a long time.
Finish Cut and closed by hand, so the seams follow the hide rather than the other way round.
Sizing & Fit
- US sizes 4 to 12
- Our footbed is slightly longer than standard US sizing, designed to accommodate thicker winter socks
- We recommend ordering your usual US size
Care Instructions
- For light soiling, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow to air dry
- Work in the direction of the hair
- If the clogs become wet, let them dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat
- Store in a cool, dry place
